have you looked at other internet - based sites like
www.carpoint.com.au, carsguide, carsales. You need to find one that has lots of 80 series on it and then adjust your price relative to the others.
the kms on it will be the drawback, people will be assuming rightly or wrongly that a new motor or at least a rebuild will be on the cards very soon. these cars are driven by cityfolk too who would never take them offroad and would be the types who think that 400,000 kms out of a car is impossible.
Average car does 25,000 kms a year so yours has done well above the average.
other than that, there's nothing you can do, the market will only pay what it thinks its worth.

i tried to sell my old 80 for that price but it was a 1991 model with 520 000kms on it and a few problems also no rego or rwc. Eventually after a 3 months i sold it for $6000 without accessories

Hi there, i am interested and have looked at your ebay add, is there any damage to the mounting points of the bullbar from the accident your father had? And also is it ever had an engine rebuild as the toyota 4.2 straight diesels tend to have cylinder head problems with long milelages???
2 other questions, timing belt is an expensive service so are you willing to drop price for that and the brake fix?
I will offer $6000.00 if all other than that is in good order... its all i have to spend if i need to get timing belt and brakes done...
Let me know if your interested...i understand if your not...
