Unhappy with sideways action

Hi all,
A months or so ago I put a 2" lift under the GU 4.2 wagon (Extra Heavy Duty King springs) with 90-series Koni shocks.
Since then I have had the vehicle up to Wyperfield NP in the sand dunes and loved the performance of the springs/shocks, but over Easter the vehicle kicked sideways several times along a stretch of hard corrugated road.
Was not going fast (approx 40km/h) when these instances occurred but sure got the heart rate up a bit. Was in 4WD too.
Am now wondering if springs are too hard? I wanted EHD springs because when the car is loaded, it is really loaded.
Or perhaps it was because of the heavy load in the back? But this never happened when I had the softer OE suspension in.
Anybody got ideas? Thanks.
