Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a guy at work wanting to buy a TD5 Defender Extreme 2001 model and having no access to a peruta he asked if I would place the question on the forum on his behalf .
He would like some honest points of view from current owners , what to lok for , problems , re-powering , ect ect .
I'm of no use , haven't even sat in one and only owned v8's
