how low can you go?

im still thinking about turning my j-top into a comp rig, but id want a lower crawl.
its still got the standard xfer in it and already comes with 5.29s .
i dont think 2.85 would be low enough for me so what other options are there?
would changing from manual to auto be enough?
the patrol has 83:1 crawl and even there id like it to be lower.

i think i worked out before that the paj has around 48:1 atm so even with the 2.85s it would still be faster than the patrol.

any other ideas or options?

It was talked about on here a few months back about twin transfers. Try searching for that, looked pretty cool.

You could always try another transfer case with the output on the right side and more gearing options?

get a auto early patrol transfer and add it on the bk of ur std 1 then u can put gears in if u really need to ,if u want to stay left hand drive on the transfer the patrol 1 will runn upside down .

they did it on 4x4wire.com with the twin transfers, but reckoned that the SWB pajero didn't have enough tail shaft lenght to do it.

maybe look at an Atlas 4 speed case
