hey
i was wondering wat other people have had there sierras up to.
i wanna now wat mods you've done to so we can compare.
so far mines stocko with just a 1.6L vit motor efi. and 225/70 tyres the rest is stocko and i can easily max out the speedo on flat ground. i need to borrow my mates gps to get a speed. will update when i get that.
also i think this has bin discussed b4 but i just wanted to clear things up. how strong is the driveline in a sierra 1.3L i was wondering wat the chances are of busting something while doin a burnout. i got a heavy duty clutch i doubt that will make a difference tho.

Most likely thing to bust will be your neck, head or back as your zook flips onto its roof.
Its not a sports car, speed is more than a good donk. You need to upgrade suspension, steering, brakes and entire car to go fast safely.
Also remember many eyes read outers, thus not a good place to put your speed in writing.
Much good luck with your build, tho, I wish you well.

yeah on a 'track' mine did where 160 would be on the speedo on a slight downhill with crosswind... VERY scary and not recommended by any means.
was in a sierra with 2" leaves, stock 1.3 motor with extractors and 1.5" pipe on 215/75 tyres.
And yes it was many years ago, when i was still on my P's =)

Geez, i'm lucky to get to 110kph in my Sierra, and that's scary enough. Feels worse than 200kph in my Silvia

yeah i didnt wanna do to many burnouts i just thought id give it a shot b4 i get new rubber. also all this is done on my land. as we hav a nice long bitumen driveway. and i actually put in a burnout pit.
best thing i found with the engine upgrade tho is take off. they launch so well now. and even just pickin up speed to over take. before i had to think about whether or not to overtake about 50 times as to whether it could do it or not. and most of those times it turned out to be a not.
and nicbeer i no wat ya mean about how they dont feel good in the rain with the engine upgrade. u hav to b so carefull. and still be prepared to take control. but since the upgrade its bin the most fun car ive ever driven.

i can get mine to the 'H' where it has KMH down the bottom, i guess 155 ish.
i love mine in the wet, they are fairly easy to drift
but yes i know, not the smartest thing to do.
i would not recomend doing burnouts in it, the diff was not meant for it, it puts wa too much stress on the whole driveline.
yes i am young (stupid)

got mine to 157kph once and never did it again.
i would have felt safer doing that speed on a skateboard
burnouts were easy until i did a UNI and didnt bother doing anymore after that
