Outer Limits 4x4 Board

mate of mine is lookin for a sahara but he's not sure what other options it has on top of a gxl eg. long range tanks, dual batteries, interior upgrades etc also what year where they made up to?, anyone know what a blue marlin landcruiser has?

I have a 93 model T/D Sahara and it's the same but with;
f&r factory lockers
leather seats (front 2 electric adj)
leather inserts on the doors
fridge centre console with ice cube trays (x2)
rear air con
electric sun roof (sucks, you loose 2" of head room)
11 speaker system (i think)

nice ride but not worth the extra 50-60K Mr Toyota was asking from new over the GXL

80 series saharas were made untill early 98
they came with fridge between the seats, rear air (aus spec only) sunroof, electric seats, twin factory lockers, cruise, cd stacker, abs, airbags, climate control, cup holders, viscous centre diff (update only i think) and lots of other little things

a blue marlin is very similar to a 40th in appointments, like a gxl but with different rims, seats, abs and a few other lil things and they came in that cool light blue colour only

Not all of those options were included. I have a 91, no abs, no cup holder, no airbags but has the rest.

Main things were lockers, electric seats, climate control, rear air.

depending on year model add the following to the above..
full auto or man aerial, totally different trim being it leather or velor including the entire hood lining, rear heating, speed sensitive steering box, gearstick console, boosted clutch master, climate control, cruise control, single piece headlights, thicker rear lower link arms, leather steering wheel, cloth over speaker covers, power outlet in engine bay, larger vacuum canister, plusher carpet, fold down armrests in the rear seats, colour coded door handles, black gutter and weather strips trims. there is a little more but that is most of the differences being them anal or great.

My model was the first to get the airbag (95) they are a real nice thing to look at and drive in the bush...the blue marlin you speak of is simply a gxl with special paint colour and trim, with abs brakes. It was also only petrol.
They are a gr8 car, dont get me wrong, but nothing like the sahara as far as light steering to park, and still descent feel at speed, not overly light like my old gxl was.....and did i mention std difflocks and viscous LSD in the transfercase diff??
