hi guys i recently bought a 2004 hilux dual cab, it has split rims and dunlop tyres pissy little road tyres.

i bought a set of bfg mud terrain 32 11.5 r15 wit sunraysia rims (ebay job).

problem is wen i put them on my ute the 2 front tyres were rubbing the inside of the guards at the bottom near the side steps.

i need advice as 2 wat 2 do, apart from getting rid of the rims and tyres and starting fresh.

i was told that i 2inch lift should do the trick.

the ute currently still has all the factory suspension and wat not.

any suggestions ??

Is the offset on both sets of rims the same?

is the distance from the center of the rim (where it bolts to your hub) to the dege of the rim/tyre on the inside edge (where its closest to your engine bay a similar distance, bit hard to explain but what im asking is if the inside edge of the rim is closer to the body of your vehicle becaise the rim offset is wrong, or if its simply because the bigger diameter tyre is now up in the guard where it starts to curve in? If the offset has changed too much then they might just not fit. If its just that the diameter is bigger then a body lift should help, if the offset is the issue then a body lift will not help.

Someone might be able to offer clearer advice, if you cant understand my juble of words?

i have 31s on my 98 lux and they rub in the same spot. 2inch body lift will eliminate it or else cut away the plastic trim/mudguard and then bash in the small bit of panel where it rubs with a hammer.
