Hi all,
Is there any easy way of getting the blue sealant off my battery terminals and connections.
Metal file will only get so much off.
Cheers
Paul

give it a clean with a wire brush then change your wiring..
its good to have that stuff sprayed on after your finished but..
before i sprayed my terminals i had to clean them quite regularly

not sure what its called exactly but yeh it comes in a can.
you can get it from most auto parts shops etc...
there is also some stuff that comes in a jar that you can apply using a paintbrush.
it doesnt have to be blue either.. the stuff on mine is yellow.

Acetone should do the job, excellent for removing glues also

I think stuff like WD40, carby cleaner etc might get it off. If it's anything like what was on mine WD40 wiped it off.
*or as suggested above, acetone will rip into it nicely.

LOL bit extreme, acetone will do nicely, its a terminal sealant, stops it from oxidising and also growing acid fluff, that white crap you see on bad battery connections. its good to have. iirc its just a silicone battery sealant or terminal sealant.
