Question for all you gurus. What are the pro's & con's of a spring over on a 60? Whats the handling like on/off road? At the mo I'm running a 30mm lift, a 1-2" spring lift(ultimate) and 32x16 tyres. My useage varies from rocks/scrub etc through to touring (Gunbarrel Hwy, Simpson etc). Any info/ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

if you do a lot of desert , i wouldnt go near a soa !!!!
raises your COG , way to high !!!!!!
imagine doing Big Red , not making it , reversing down & getting slightly crossed !!!!! OPPS , it fell over !!!!!
with a 60 , a good suspension lift , & possibly a 2" body lift , 35"s will fit damn easy !!!!!!!

Go to
http://www.pirate4x4.com bulletin board and ask them. They have loads of SO 60's. If you use sagged stock 60 springs you will get about 4 inches of lift over stock, a really nice ride and heaps of flex.

If you are runnin 32`` tyres there is no advantage in going spring over going where you go. Just disadvantages!

Thanks for the info guys. Mite look into a taller body lift & get some 285/75x16's to replace the 265's then. I was mainly after more clearance under the axles. 8)

Yep. A bee's dick taller and a smidge skinnier than a 33x15.
