One word: Turbo
reasions: Cheaper than engine swap, even if you do the swap yourself, much much much more power than stocko tb45....there were more but i forget.
:edit: forgot about the efi bit.
If you don't like playing around with looms, just convert your tb42 to run LPG (valves and what ever else needs to be done, i dunno i'm not a fan of mobile BBQ's) then turbo it, the LPG will take care of the fueling side of it, and run something along the lines of a msd boost retard device (like $350) on your coil to help control ignition.
But i dunno i'm all theroy, and prefer efi. And it is your car, and that's just my oppionon.
