Unfortunately I'm at the stage of having to either rebuild my 1hz or replace it with something else, so i was wondering what is involved in putting a 1HD motor into my HZJ105R 98 model cruiser.

cheers,
Nate

Buy a wreck to get parts or buy a hdfte, which will cost 10k once you have it in there, or put 10k with your 1hz to drive away with a hdft 80

What's the rebuild costs like on a 1HZ?
Can the 5 speed manual from a HZJ105R just fit to the 1HDFT?

Would think it would be wise to stay away from the electronic one though, it would be an even bigger job but may be worth it to you.

Gday The r series box behind a 1hz in a 105 can be used but it is not advisable, preference to use a fzj105 tranny and 80 series 1hz/hdt bellhousing makes it a bulletproof conversion.
