took the zook on its maiden twmba to brissy trip today
I noticed that my speedo was off by around 15 Km/h ( checked it using the reading off my GPS ..not accurate i know) ... anyways...i was not able to do more than 80-85km/h (actual speeds) and on the uphills even worse.
I guess i need reduction gears , but have no idea what i need
been reading around a bit but not sure what i need for the set up that ive got
I have a 92 Sierra , 1.6 8v g16a , 32" s and 2 inch spring and 2 inch body lift
What are my options ???

lowrangeoffroad.com have the 6.5s really cheap these days or u can buy localish and get them thru BBM, there is a thread about their (BBM) specials atm
or you can go a more expensive route and get a 1.6 16v efi motor and 3.9 diff gears. both available

You're right you need some reduction but I reckon your 1.6 is pretty tired too! Even my old 1.3 that had done 330,000km could do 100km/h with my 33's. (in 4th)
According to my calculations a 32" tyre is 24% larger than a 26" (stock) tyre.
You can get 5% back by removing the 3.7:1 fitting NT 3.9:1 diff centres like I have done and you can get the 18.3% or 20% by fitting 5.14 or 6.5 transfer gears.
So if you get the 6.5's you will end up 1% under stock in high range and 188% under stock in low range with a crawl ratio a bit over 90:1
I have the 6.5 set and they are awesome.
I would highly recommend an auto or air locker in the rear if getting transfer reduction gears.
Check out

If you can afford it, get a reinforced transfer mount/cradle and new poly mounts as you will bend the original light steel mounting arms.
Fitting the transfer gears isn't difficult, I did mine and quite a few other Zook owners have done their own.
Good luck with it...

Would check your motor over first,
I have an NT with the 1.3L running 31's sits on 100 km/h easy dont know what the gearing is but the 1.6L should get you up to 100 km/h easy unless you are running some nasty gearing....
