To fix or not to fix..

Planning to sell my shortie sometime soon.. however its got a few issues..
the main one being the rear diff pinion bearings are stuffed. Currently drives fine, but nasty vibration at 50-60k's.

Been given a rough quote of about $900 to fix.. Alternator is also on the way out.. doesn't charge at idle but its ok at revs.

So, do I fix it and sell it as a fully working car, or sell it for less with issues.

Also how much to people think its worth, I've got a rough figure in mind but I'll see what others think.

1990 (1991 first reg, what year do you call it ?)
TB42 dual fuel, gas system is about 3 years old. (Impco)
Auto
270k's
4.6 diffs
2" OME spring lift
2" body lift.
extractors
safari snorkel
ARB winch bar. (no winch)
Guards cut to fix 36's.
31 AT's with decent tread still.. (I'm keeping the 35 peeds)

6 months ago the engine had a good overhaul, valve stems and a bunch of stuff done. New Radiator, front brakes rebuilt, rear brakes rebuilt about a year ago.

As you'd expect, its got its share of scratches and minor dents from 4wd'in, but the body is pretty good.

So, what do people reckon.. fix it.. or sell as it.. If I could convince the Mrs that we have the space I'd probably fix it and keep it.. but thats another story!

i think its worth about 5-6 grand. alternator should only cost about 150-200 to rebuild. i would try and fix the diff as people don't want to buy trouble. If they could not tell the diff was stuffed i would say dont fix it, but they will drive it at 60km/h.

I bought it for $7.5k about 3.5 years go.. its certainly a little rough around the edges like any well used 4bie... I was thinking I'd be happy getting about 4.5k

The relevant year is the year on the build plates, not when first registered.

You should be able to get a diff center for about $300 and the alternator might just need need new brushes.
