we make an adapter to use a toyota cardan joint in a zook. I will get a pic of it today.

I was going by this... i.e. Driving with mass agression - which is pretty similar to how be drives anyway...

you can put hilux hi steer arms on to TLC60 diffs
they also use the same CV so you can upgrade them too

how do the 60 series stuff compare size and strength wise to the hilux stuff

front end is pretty similar

front short side inner = fj40 inner
front long side inner = hilux inner

full float rears available
R&P is bigger

i have a cardinal front drive shaft in the garage . the good thing about these diffs is the back is offset same as zook ones .planning of running 35s witha exstended weelbase .sick off doing wheelbearing i want to built it tuffer so i dont have to worry all the time about things breaking. on my last zook i did two wheel bearings runnig 31s both times the whole axle came and out lost all brakes not fun at all

I think that has probably more to do with maintenancs than anything else. i have run massively offset rims on n/t diffs with 34" swampers and have had to change 2 bearings in 4 years and that is with a lot of mud and water driving.

Have you thought about diff clearance issues ?

I run the 60 series diffs under my 40 series with 38" TSLs and I beleive NAM had the same diff clearance on 34s ;)

Something to think about.

Having said that they are very strong. They handle abuse from a 1.8 ton rig with a V8 and 38s. So I am sure they will last forever on a Zook with 35s

guess jake better get some 38s :D

clearance isn't everything but it helps i guess

I am also planing on fitting a v6 at the end of the year so need the strength . Id rather over engineer it than keep breaking stuff and end up doing the conversion anyway. Nothing like gatting stuck i the middle of nowhere

With a V6 and big diffs - perhaps somewhere else worth looking at strength issues would be the chassis?
