I need to know what is the best water to put in my washer bottle. I have searched and looked in the Bible but I can't find what I'm looking for.

Just plain old water
with some washing up detergent in it
I find that works the best ;)

I really could flame away here but I'm now attending FA (Flamers Anonymous) and trying to keep to the 12 step plan. One post at a time :D

I recommend this to all my friends.

http://www.tachyon-energy-products.com/ ... _water.htm

with it you will never need to do any service work on your rig and previously broken parts shall be healed.

superconductor.... giggle.

also here is a tutorial for performing the washer tank filling.

http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-fil ... asher-tank

Hope I've been helpful :D

Thanks boner59 but where do I buy old water? Also, if I put detergent in it won't be just water anymore. Is that going to cause any long term problems for me? Will it alter the performance parameters of the washer system and will it still be legal?

Thank you PCRman. That looks interesting and the link on filling is good but I might struggle a bit so I think I should refer that part to my mechanic.

Why do you feel the need to flame? It is a tech question and I have searched and looked in the Bible but could not find the answer I was looking for and boner59 has replied with some helpful advice.

I get my s/h water from the water treatment works :D
and they tell there is no performance enhancing additives
in it. And the detergent will help the water slip through the air
Better, so you get a cleaner window :D Boy are we in for a flaming
 b59

its inbuilt or so it seems, a genetic trait

Um OK

I use tank water, because of water restrictions, as its illegal to wash your car with tap water. Also I ad some sugar soap to it so its more aggressive. I'm being serious.

Alternates:
- After watching Mythbusters, I think some Vodka might be a better alternate, may even get rid of some bad mud smells.

- What about Coke, not as good as Vodka, but its always on special at the supermarket.

Now everybody, searching for washer bottle information should reveal this thread, so if this question gets asked again, prepare to cop it from "The Search Nazis". Somehow I don't think it will make it into the bible

Okay ill say a logical water, I get Deep spring water...... :P No just kidding.

I usually just put normal water in there without any additives at all that way if your out bush and stranded and you have run out of water and all else fails you can disconnect the plug to the jet and pump the water into your mouth as drinking water, Its sorta like a camel pack but you don't gotta suck the water you just push the button for it haha..... :D

How would de-hydrated water go in a camelback for re-hydration?

Excellent, it has has brilliant storage qualities and takes up far less space then normal water.

What i do is pull up next to a bog hole and fill up my drink bottle with the muddy water and then filter that through a sock works well and stops the water comin out after a while so you never got to worrie about it again! ;)
