Bash Plate 05 TD42T ??????

Hey guys the dealer where i bought my car from told me that the bash plate which is missing form my car isnt standerd :shock: and ill have to get an aftermarket one fitted any one got a part number that i can give them or a drawing to show that all nissans have a f--cking bash plate

?? under motor or under trans?

under the motor all the belts and radiator hose is all exposed might just have to make one up cause the dealer reckons this is normal

My '05 TD42 doesn't have one either - perhaps the dealer is correct...
Would also be interested in aftermarket options anyone has.

should have a plastic angled one that covers from front of radiator down to steering arms. At least thats what I have on mine.

My old 3L had one, but looking at the newer 4.2's, the radiator is larger (i.e. hangs down further). Maybe the plastic guard didn't fit anymore and Nissan just deleted it rather than do a re-design.

it was answered on patrol forum... theyh dont come with one.

The GQs used to come with one. It was a big plate that bolted between the chassis rails under the motor, and had scallops cut out in line with the radius arms so they could flex. I believe they stopped fitting them at the factory because they interfered with the airflow thru the engine bay, although I can't confirm that.
