hey all,
just wondering if a TD42 will go into my Gen1 pajero?? the reason for this is i just blew up my engine today coming home from Tuff Truck... the cost of rebuilding the engine i currently have in it seems not worth the $$$$ seeing it will be it's 3rd rebuild... there is heaps of room it seems for it but just thinking about mating up the nissan motor to the mitsubishi gear box?? or is there any other alternative???

cheers Dan...

I would think it'd be easier to put in the nissan box and transfer with it.

New driveshafts, mounts and a possible nip/tuck with the tunnel would be cheaper to do...or so you would think anyway.

A TD42 weighs 350kg......... Whether you manage to fit this donk in will be the least of your worries.

Is it your only vehicle? I would be going for the 3.8 V6, there was even an adapter for it.

Much better idea that the td42. What about a newer Mitsi Diesel such as the 3.2?

Fark that'd need a big set of torsion bars. Looks like the v6 is a better option.

the car is my only car. i think the 3.2 DI-D would be out of my price range. I can pick up a whole commodore for $900 so that would be the better option.
