JT Differentials has just released them in the US in a 4.56:1 ratio. these are "thick" gears in that you wont need a new carrier for them and wil fit into the stock carrier that the hilux has.

their website is - http://www.justdifferentials.com
Front gears $299.99
Rear Gears $199.99
Shipping for both gears to Australia will be $128.00

Im still tossing up whether to do it now or to hold off a few more months.

you can also get 4.88 if you need them thou I'd be surprised if anyone is running bigger than 35's to justify them....LOL

I too am running 33's with a D4D auto. not bad, but first gear low range is absolutely crap when going down steep hills, the main reason I want to rectify the problem.

there you go mate. The 4.56 is not the ideal for our hilux's with 33's, ideally we would want a 4.3:1 but nobody makes them, so you have the choice of the 4.56:1 or the 4.1:1

4.56 will make you upshift gears slightly earlier than stock and rev just that bit more at 100kph, but in low range first it'd be awesome and better than stock.

have you gotten quotes yet on fitting?

Best Ive found is 700bux drive in and drive out. ontop of the cost of the gears.....ends up costing abit :(
