Broken a head bolt...

Managed to removed the rest of bolt no worries...but..
Do I need to buy genuine (as bolt shop can't help me).
Or if not where does one pick up a replacement?

which engine, the bolts on late v8s are stretch bolts that cant be reused. For an early v8 you could try a wrecker or get genuine, or ebay UK. The best is definitely an ARP stud kit though.

ring karcraft in sydney, they have em on the shelf and post asap.
little bro just had the same prob with a 300tdi head bolt.

Thanks for that, ebay UK had no responses to questions and none listed and local land rover dealer reckoned non there or head office, Karcraft came through.
$105 or thereabouts.

Couldn't find anyone (VPW etc) that had a listing for ARP stud kit for a rover v8.

They dont make them for Rover, according to ARP, as one supplier here told me,
but they do make them for Buick 215, which is the same engine
