60 series and 45 series parts swaping

hey guys, while accumalting information for my next project, i have heard that alot of guys swap a few things from 60 s, to 45s, like power steering, diffs, some time motors and what not,

my queston is, if you had both sitting side buy side, and were more intrested in just putting the 45 body on the 60 chassi, would that be easyer than swaping diffs and power stearing, and runng gear and so on so fourth??

as i love the shape of the 45(and the 60) and am thinking about using ether, except i want a ute, and the 45 is one already, or i can cut down the 60 body, ether option is viable but i like the fact that 45s are quite easy to get fitting bigger rubber, without much lift if any, which i like the sound of.

also, if you did swap the 45 body to the 60 chassi, i am assuming that none mabe two of the body mounts would be useable, so you would most likly be creating your own, if so, would re settign the cab just a little higher (like a body lift, but solid with thing rubber instead of 50 mm blocks be a good idea??)

any one got any points of view as id apprciate thoughts,

this project would be a combination of goals, one would be jsut to get me outa the house inta the shed, and the other would be to have a relativly nice looking capeable week end warrior for going hard with.

thanks guys Al

Hey mate considered the same thing a while back, was suggested to put a 45 ute tub onto a coil sprung chassis instead of the 60 series chassis.

60 utes look pretty cool i reckon, and you could a 60 series cheap with a rusted roof.

Would shackles off a 60, fit on a 45?

assume the 60 chassi is best, and it dont really matter about the 45 body, as it will get a few scratches, but it would be fair.
