Troopy Fit-out

Hey guys.

I just bought a troopy and am not too sure about how to deck it out. I wanna do some travelling in it but not just yet.

Currently it has on the passenger side and gas stove, in a benchtop with cupboards etc. It also has a bar fridge up front behind the passenger seat.

On the drivers side there is a unit that has a futon matress thing that acts as a lounge but forms a bed when you pull the boards out into the centre. Under this unit is a slide with 4 buckets and a 2nd Battery

But I wish I had more seats.

So I was thinking of a drawer system to go 1/2way, fridge on top. Standard seats on either side in the centre. False floor for the swag / futon, on a hinge that when seats a folded down, will swing up to act as a form of cargo barrier.

I'll try and throw some picks up of the current set up. Was just wondering how everyone else has decked out their troopy as I'm still looking at different ideas.

it really is a personal thing mate. will you be travelling with a partner? what are your personal comfort requirements? budget? length of trips? are you/your partner a bit of a princess?

i had a troopy with a 2nd row bench seat, 1/2 length drawers, fridge on top. when the bench was folded down i could stretch out the full length and have a queen sized mattress in there. dual carriers on the back. But i was a light traveller. i was usually happy to cook on a small gas stove and sleep pretty rough.

do some shorter trips so you can get an idea of what you can or can't live without. will give you a starting point.

Thanks for your advice mate. I will probably be travelling alone but by the time I leave who knows who'll come. I plan to travel to Perth at Christmas so I guess we'll see what I take and use...
