I have been using hpr15 for the last 2 years but the last 2 months it has started burning oil!!! Not sure if the oil is too thin or there is something wrong but i will start using a thicker oil.
Should i switch to hpr30 or hpr 40?? Sorry for hijack.

Its got 270,000km at the moment i think its the valve guides not the bottom end. What would be the disadvantage of using HPR40 or even their 50?

the 40/70 hpr 50 will build oil pressure to slow, your kays are high enough to use hpr 30

Also run it! On a recon engine with only 15000 now been great. It does tend to get dirty quick thats all shows it cleans well!
