Can i use a front diff housing, out of an 88 rangie with 10 spline axles and no abs etc obviously, fit my 24 spline diff centre and fit my swivels to the end of the housings and fit my abs swivel hubs and cv's etc

My front housing is dented badly and had holes in it, i only need the cente bit of the housing and axle tubes etc are htese interchangable i can see hwy they would be different.

fink so---maybe some slight difference in width...but the parts are the essentially same except for the ABS bits, but they should transfer across OK....need to serach this on LR forums though - don't trust me:)

Somewhere along the way, the number of bolts changed, where the swivel housing bolt to the diff housing. But you could probably keep the swivel housing that came with the housing.

I think that was early 80s, my 94 disco 24s have seven the same as my 88 10splines. My 75 has six bolts.

It will fit. Just change the swivel housing from the 24 spliner and bolt it to the axle tube from the 10 spliner. No differences in the casings.
