Diff bracing a cruiser diff possable without it bend Witch is seen as the best way to brace a sprung over cruiser diff without reducing clearance Please advise me.

Bit more info, and a post that makes sense, will be much more helpful. Are you after examples of diff trusses, or how to weld one on without the heat warping the housing? Which model land cruiser diff etc. Some pics would not go astray too. If you need your pics hosted PM me.

Both examples and advise on how not to warp the housing. I want to do both front and back diffs. Its a fj73 with a 75 disc brake rear diff sprung over. Just like to here from experience what works and doesn’t. And how it should be designed

Get some 75x50x3or4, run it diagonally from the highest point you can on the diff pumpkin down to the furthest point along you can on the diff tube. You will have to contour the lower edge of the bracing to match your diff but some quality time spent with some cardboard, a tape measure and a texta should see you sweet.

As for burning it in, run a bead about an inch long along one side at one end of the brace, stop, go around to the other side and end of the bracing and run another inch of bead, then back to the first side but opposite end from your first weld, and so forth.

Alternatively you can pull the diff right down, remove the centre and run some tube through it to keep it straight. Then you can pretty much go nuts with your welding. Id go the first way though. Its easier and takes less time. JMO.
