Hi ppl the other day noticed a large pool of oil under the car allways had a small leak from the front engine seal. But this was different lots of oil topped it up then checked the water and the rad was almost empty!!!!!! filled that up and went for a spin now I got oil/water coming out of it !!!!! bugger  I'm hoping its just a head gasket but It's going to be awhile before I can get to repairing that thinking a engine swap mighty be easier! Engine needs heads redone and probibly up for timing belt too. Was thinking about a 2nd hand from Jap imports here in bris anyone had anything to do with them?

not sure were from but last week when i had noticed i had blown another head gasket i spoke to one of the wreakers and found out he had been chaseing up a motor for some one else and he told me that genuine recon are 2600 and imports are 2100. My advise would be go to the insurance auctions and that way you will get a motor and a whole heap of spares such as tranfer case gear box and all the rest. as for mine because i replaced my head gaskets only around three years ago and have not had much of a chance to do much off road work everything is still in good condition and i think i will be getting out of this one for less than 200 buck not bad at all.
