Hi everyone
Newbie from NZ here with a 91 GQ Safari TD42 (24 volt).
Something strange is happening with my factory standard dash clock - those wee silver buttons that change the hour, minute and reset are getting extremely hot...basically to the touch it is like holding your hand under a hot tap (there is also that burning smell that happens). So i've removed the dash facia and unplugged it until I can find out what the prob is.
(I found that the original clock cooked itself when I put this second hand one in so something is not right somewhere).
There has been no serious wiring changes lately either and i'm not sure where the wiring for the clock starts. Anyone got any ideas please?
cheers.

We have the grey ones, some are red over silver, some are brown over white but mostly black over silver here, Nissan Japan must have had heaps of surplus paint i think. Might have to get an auto sparky to look at it...obviously something isn't right somewhere.
by grey import he means that they are not bought in by nissan and sold by them, but are imported by private brokers and then resold thru them. you will not get a new nissan safari in aus or NZ because they are all imports.
regardless of colour....
