Trail Tough charge $278 to ship so $517 in total. Sean at Lowrange Offroad will do them for $499 shipped.

I already have mine.

Trail Tough only ship one way, UPS and this is what TT want to charge. Spidertrax only charge $126 to ship the same items with UPS. Go figure  Sean can't get the axles at the samee price but he is doing the best deal he can combined with shipping.

So what they lose on the axle they more then make up for with the postage. Like to ppl on ebay who charge $50 for delivery on something that fits in an envelope.

looks like i might be getting them sooner then later

send chris at Locktup4x4 an email and ask him for a price. Ive ordered several items from him and his prices are very reasonable. Might take a little longer to get the stuff but if we can help out a local 4x4 parts inporter / supplier then im sure things will get better for us.

Even if locktup dont show it in their parts listing just ask. Give the part number and who sells it and they will chase up a price.

I don't mean to be critical but I doubt he would get a better price then that even though he is a reseller, he might be able to save on freight but this would be more then sollowed by his markup. All for buying Australian but there has to be a benifit, I'm not going to pay more just so I line some else's pocket whether they be here or abroad.

sounds like a group buy might be in order if the freight is discounted. i would buy 2 sets for myself and i'm sure there are others thaat would jump on the band wagon if we can get the freight down. i sent an email through yesterday asking about discounted freight on multiple items so now i'm waiting on a reply. if there is a discount i can let others know if we are keen for a group buy.

agree totally. $278 is a fukin joke for shipping. i ordered a set of airshocks, a radiator and wheelspacers from polyperformance (which is in the US for those that dont know) and it was under 200 for shipping. and it bet its much larger and heavier than some sierra cv's and axles

I'm confused. I though TT "double tough" axles were modified subaru CV's or something like that, with a 26 spline inner, and 22 spline outer end.

These axles look like the Newfield type. Are they one and the same?

The last newfields I had experience with did this:

The TT CV also looks exactly the same as the Spidertrax CV. Is just the CV from the same company? :?

Anyone had one of these TT axles fail?? If they are any good then I NEED some... :)

were you expecting to get 4x trail tough axles (2x front and 2x rear) for $240???

This might be a good time to also make sure people know that they will need to either buy a rear airlocker/auto locker or 26 spline side gears for your 4 pinion front diff if you have one already OR buy a 4 pinion rear 3rd member for the front diff, as these axles are 26 spline not 22 like a standard wt front diff.

might be an extra cost to factor into the equation.... :D

no, i thought you could also get the rear ones, WITH the associated costs. I didn't realise they were only selling the front ones.

Man if he can get me the same product to my door for less dollars I'll go with him. Might pay to give him a call/email to compare REAL figures

ive just sent a email to low range asking for a shipped price as a group buy. if anyone has good quoted prices, get them up here so we can all get the best deal. Dee did you go through with the order after you found out the freight cost?

I'm keen too.
I sent an email to Spidertrax asking about their price incl. shipping but no response as yet.
A definate $$ value would help me a lot whether it be a one off or a group buy but I will say I am wary of group buys after the last one.

I think as this is a limited offer we should get something together sooner rather then later or those that are serious will miss out, don't want the yanks getting them all.
