Tailshaft Spacers (Hilux)

OK searching reveals that allot of you Lux guys like using some type of RHS type tailshaft spacer. This is not suitable for this vehicle that requires them.

Anyway does anybody know if anybody makes tailshaft spacers for a Hilux (live axled type)? Looking for about a 1" spacer.

If they are too expensive or cannot be found; we may have found a solution to this problem, either make our own (lath down 4" dowl steel), or we may have figured out a way to adapt the Suzuki Sierra Widetrack tailshaft spacer. Of course if worse comes to worst we will just get custom shafts.

If anybody else has a solution to this problem please feel free to offer advice.

Cheers
Aaron.

If you have access to a lathe i'd be making one. Getting shafts made up will be better in the long run don't like the idea of spacers in driveshafts.

The snake Racing ones are what we are after, however at that price, there are cheaper alternates.

We have access to a lathe, however the cost of the raw aluminium dowl (125mm is what we can get), is just plain silly. We are still having a bit of fun finding steel dowl this size.

Sic Lux I don't like big spacers either, however I think 1" spacing, thats used in a position where the uni angle is not too big is alright. One thing this is needed for is a 1" spacer between the transfer rear output, and the middle shaft, which has very little uni angle at all (therefore little vertical torque applied to spacer etc). Also would require one for the front shaft, however I'm not 100% on this situation.

Also got a PM from a user on here concerning this.
