Tie rod/drag link ends.... issues. Yes its a coily.

We have recently installed a complete new front diff in my coily, hub to hub, and are now in the process of re attaching the steering links.
As bloody usual its the last two bolts to do up that dont want to do up they way they should.
The bolts in the tie rod ends spin the minute the castle nuts get beyond finger tight. So how the hell do a stop the bolt spinning to tighten the nut?
Now maybe I am having a blonde moment and have overlooked something so straight forward.
Any help and advise would be appreciated. I hope what I said made sense.

Get a mate to pull down on the rod so that the taper of the rod end meets tight with the taper in the arm. See how this goes. Check the thread on both items too, incase it is damaged.

clean both taper surfaces well. I"ve also been known to give them a light tap with a mallet to seat them too, but this might not be recommended.

if threads are good than just rattle gun them up with a bit of pressure against the taper

Thank you all. Looks like I damaged the thread when I removed them off the old diff housing, oh well, lesson learned. Replacement ones coming.
