1" master cylinder, which 80's Patrol is it from?
1" master cylinder, which 80's Patrol is it from?
I am looking at doing a master cylinder upgrade on my Datsun and have heard one of the Patrol masters is 1" and will pretty much bolt straight on. Im just wondering if anyone knows which one is.
Well...I do know the MQ/MK/GQ all share the same bolt pattern for the MC. So if bolt pattern is the same I assume they are all the same diameter. Master Vac is different though...
Some things do inter change in the older Nissan/Datsuns. For example I used a 280Z clutch slave cylinder on my 83 MQ. It bolted right up and other than rod is a perfect match.

Well the thing with that is, the 120Y, 240Z, 260Z, 280z/x all had the same bolt pattern on MC, but the 120,240,260 all had 7/8th MCs, 280z/x had 15/16th MCs and if the Patrol has a 1" that bolts on, then I may have just discovered another bolt on upgrade for these Datsuns.RMP&O wrote:Well...I do know the MQ/MK/GQ all share the same bolt pattern for the MC.
