Just wondering if the front and rear GQ diff centres are the same and can I put a rear lsd centre in the front.

I can't afford lockers and thought this would be a good alternative.

What are the GQ lsds like are they tight or like the toyota (shit)

Any advice will be appreciated

Got an auto locker in the front of my troopy and I farkin hate the farkin thing!!!

The steering is really heavy and I can't get full lock which is a real pain going around switchbacks.

They lock going down hill and limit steering and I am pretty sure it was because of the locker that my tierod end broke.

I'd rather run an open diff to an auto locker!

I'll just have to save for a pro locker

if you dont like the auto locker then why would you want a limo :?

Because the are not locked totally, they slip and allow the vehicle to turn easier.

I've heard that a pathfinder rear lsd is the same size as a gq front diff. do a search on it and something should come up. Hope this helps.
Cheers Kane.

I've got a tightened Pathfinder LSD up front and it's a bit*h on tight turns. As soons as I po$$ibly can, will mount an ARB there ...

To answer the last part of your question, GQ LSD's are MUCH better than toyota LSD's - they are tighter to start with and stay tight pretty much indefinitly. I've had two GQ's with over 500,000 km and both still had tight rear ends

Thanks for all the replies it has been a great help.

I have to borrow some money to build a new shed, I might just add a bit more and get a pro locker instead of the lsd.

Thanks for your help. :) :)
