I bought a second hand conversion for the above. The adaptor has a sleeve that slides through the centre of the adapter plate (spider) with the throw out bearing atached to the end of it. The problem i am having is that the sleeve keeps grabbing on the spider that it slides through. This is stopping the clutch from operating and I have no idea how to fix this.
Has anyone experieneced this problem before, and how can it be resolved?
I need to get this thing running this weekend, so if you have any suggestions please let me know.....
Cheers
Peter

Have you tryed to Loosen the bolts which hold the inside moving part to re`aline it and add some grease
If so you may need to do some die grinding
Ps are you sure thats the reason the clutch is not working because if you greased the splined adaptor
It can cause a hydraulic lock between the shafts and give a false clutch operation.

yeah we tried that a few times before the motor went together

die grinding of what?

the shaft extension has not been greased. only the outer surface of the sleeve with the throw out bearing and the cage it runs through.
It can cause a hydraulic lock between the shafts and give a false clutch operation.
Its almost as though when I push the clutch pedal in, the clutch fork is levering on the sleeve and pushing it out of alighnment at the same time. I don't know how I can fix this....

Some of the marks adaptor kits have a clutch pivot extension which may be your problem
Did your 2nd hand kit come with one and dose it need one? You will need to contact marks to get the truth

You have got the part that actually bolts to the spider section of the bell housing adapter?
just sounds strange as I take it the sleeve it kinda getting pushed sideways?
Which I cant see how that can happen because its such a tight fit between the two.
The extension is so you get more throw out of the pedal movement, don't think it will help out his problem with the sleeve being pushed out of alinement.
Thats just what I'm making of it.
