what type of fairead to run with rope

lots of differant ones out there which one do i run and why plastic ,steel, alloy, stainless steel, teflon , forger steel, forged alloy polyuthane so many to choose tellme what you think

What sort of "rope" are we talking about????

Wire rope you are generally better off with a roller fairlead.

Plasma rope ("dynamica", etc) you are better off with a smooth fairlead.

i rin plastic but will run alloy next time, the plastic tends to be a little too soft.

I like the billet steel/stainless/alloy hawse fairleed plates. They look trick, strong, and wont suffer from heat markings or UV rays.
