fj 60 gearbox problem

Gearbox in my fj60 wont select 4th gear
all other gears work fine an box runs very smoothlyan quiet in all other gears
Any ideas?

sounds like its dead take it to a gearbox specialist to find out for sure better to be certain than waste lots of money

Wont be fixing box as car will be wrecked out ,
just had mate interested in box but we wanted an idea what the problem could be.

I've heard those boxes have a plastic or rubber thingy where the stick goes into the box and it wears too much and you have trouble selecting gears.
Try pulling the stick out of the box and see what you can find.
