Bought a new 2007 GU patrol 3.0 litre Diesel the oil capacity in the owners manual says 9.1 Litres but nissan puts 8.2 litres which is correct in my mates 2003 patrol owners manual .
Spoke to nissan and they said 8.2 is correct by the chart on there wall should I be concerned
with the oil capacity being down 1 litre. has anyone else experienced this.

That is what I thought at first but the manual says 8.6 litres with no oil filter change.

9.1lt is a dry fill amount. meaning that that is the amount that you would put in a brand new engine that has never been filled with oil. Most engines will have between .5-1lt of oil still left inside them no matter how long you drain them for.

Thanks for the reply
Thought nissan may be slow updating there workshop specifications
as the 2003 Owners manual reads different to 2007 Owners manual .
