Patrol 2007 3.0 Litre Diesel Oil capacity

Post by notraction »

Bought a new 2007 GU patrol 3.0 litre Diesel the oil capacity in the owners manual says 9.1 Litres but nissan puts 8.2 litres which is correct in my mates 2003 patrol owners manual .
Spoke to nissan and they said 8.2 is correct by the chart on there wall should I be concerned
with the oil capacity being down 1 litre. has anyone else experienced this.

just fill it up to the mark on the dipstick.

how much oil goes in depends entirly on how much gets drain out.
if in doubt fit a good filtering catch can then overfill it a little bit and the excess will blow out into the catch can.

the catch can also helps stop the MAF sensor from being fouled up. if MAF fouls up it operates egr and turbo incorrectly which can mean motor goes booom. plenty of info on ..... http://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/
