Outer Limits 4x4 Board

It's probably been asked many of times but can't find much on Outers So....
You can find these by the dozens and cheap on good ol Ebay, One question, would I be wasting my money or is it good value? has any one used these turbo's on TD42? Looking for one for my GU comp rig.

I have 2 in the shed. I'm only guessing, but i'd reckon you'd be looking at 2200-2500RPM before coming on boost which is too high for the general public, however on a comp rig is a different story.

They are cheap and plentiful, but try and get a ball bearing one to make up for the extra lag of the bigger turbo.

Depending on AR, mine started small boost around 1500-1800 and built to 12psi at about 3800-4000 rpm, For its cost its a good bolt on, made a great difference on mine,

I bet it would have absolutely ripped coming on full boost with a turbo that big, would've been happy to wind out too yeah?? Sort of like a two-stroke motorbike.

we run a t3/to4e on a rb30 in a gq comes on at 2500

Do you want more low end or high?
The GT2560R is the new name for the old T28, the GT2860R is the next size up.

Most of the aftermarket ricer turbos are too big for diesels, the cooler exhaust of a diesel makes them spool up even later than the same size petrol.

thanks fellas, the turbos look to good to be true and just hoping there not cheap and nasty, don't want it falling apart whilst in a comp or anything. I want it to at least come on about 1500rpm. I'll take the above comments into consideration

If its a cheap Chinese knock-off I wouldn't wipe my arse on one. Get a genuine Garrett or similar, do the job once and do it right.
