I know it works on lifted rigs. Ive seen heaps of them done. Im not looking at lifting this though. Its not exactly an 80 series ;)

They are just stock arms. Flipped upside down on the diff housing. So they go over the top of the housing instead of under the housing.

Its a hilux not a stock height 80 series.

I dont need info on how to do it, Its as simple as cutting the old brackets off the housing and making new ones for the top. Im after info on wether anyone has done it at stock 80 series height and had any clearence issues with the arms hitting the chassie or anything else.

have a look on a stock 80, there really isnt enough room there, on a custom and modified hilux there would be sufficient room

BTW

I have some 80 series front arms spare, you can test with

Im guessing i would only just have enough room with 4 inch lift....the best thing it does is allow caster, the next best thing is it moves the diff forward, as the arms are more parallel with the ground....

Thanks Andrew. What does it get close to on yours?

The chassis mounted bump stops will get in the way...if you can get away without them, you would have a half descent chance of making it fit. I just had another good look under there, and it would be tight, but i think you could do it. Ive heard you can use caster plates as the new diff brackets with some modification to suit.

The chassie must be different on the early ones. Just had a look under the one i have here and there are no bumpstops under the chassie. Only in the coil mounts. So this is no concern. Looking at it i may need to modify the bottom of the shock mounts a little so it still gets full uptravel without hitting this.

The top plates are no problem. I know 2 different people these are available through. Its a fairly common mod on lifted ones these days.

At this stage i want to leave the suspension at stock height. At the most i may lift it 2".
