I have got a 2003 GU Patrol with the ZD30 in it. The motor has developed a rattle in the top end, and my mechanic is telling me that the engine needs to be removed from the car, before they can remove the head.

Is this correct?

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I had a quick look and couldn’t find any information about it.

Thanks for your help.

No it doesnt have to be removed from the vehicle to remove the head. Its not a 5min job, its also not a cheap jop.

Be prepared.
