You would have to buy a new turret skin from Nissan. I know the LWB and SWB ones are about $400 each so a ute cab wouldn't be any more then that.

Thats heaps dearer then I paid for a LWB. I did get it cheap though work but I didn't think there would be that much difference between list price and trade price.
I know the cross braces where $170 each if you needed them but there would only be one in a ute as opposed to 3 in a long wheel base.

Thats just a basic skin though not the braces, sub frame etc and it is trade price. I cant remember the exact price because i had to buy the braces as well at $170 each because I changed from a high roof to a normal roof plus bought a GQ ute rear section as well.

It would be a lot harder to put a second hand one on then new. You have to drill old spot welds out and pry the skin off with a hammer and chisel and this would be pretty hard to do to a second hand one without damaging it.
If you went second hand you would have to cut straight through the pillars and rejoin threw there which would be a bit of a pain to do. That would be to much grinding for my liking.
