Been contemplating a design for rear car on my rangie that will protect the rear quaters. Does anyone have any pics of some that dont look so 1980's?

On my moniter it is very hard to see it clearly, it is all so dark with no definition. Maybe BB can get some clearer pics for a noob like me  ?

Cheers.

HeyRick

I have an ARB bar that I have modified to suit a 2" body lift. I am tossing up on whether to make a bar like boggerbrad or modify the current bar. The current bar is very solid (and heavy) but is a strong point for towing/recovery

If I do modify the current bar I plan on trimming the "ears" from each corner, trim the lower quarter panels and weld in some 50 x 50 rhs to protect the side panels, I also need to change the swing arm mount as the current mount is not happy with 33 x 12.5 tyres - the spare tyre vibrates at 100kms

Here is a pic from a while ago...I am now running bigger tyres.

Hey Cam

How is your swing away attached to the bar? What kind of pivot mechanism are you using?

Front flares are reversed from a D3 (left on right, right on left)

and rear flares are custom.. only bugger is the rear ones are impossible to replace.. prolly go flexi flares down the track.

The rear swing away now has a large bearing pivot on it now.. that original one had too much play.
