Is anyone running 17 inch steel rims on there LN167R hilux :?: I wanna put a set on mine so i can put a set of 245/70r17 BFG muds on the lux.

Was told 17's may hit on the brake caliper. Is this correct :?:

Thanx
James

No way they'll hit the brake calliper.

The inner rim will not hit the caliper, but get the offset right as it might hit.

I have different offset Sunraysia 15"s on the back of my Hilux and when I got new tyres fitted they put the backs on the front and the ute wouldn't move because they were hitting the caliper.

they definitely wont hit the outside of the rim

just make sure you get the right offset and you will be sweet.

17x8 N13 6/139.7 fit without a worry in the world. The X Factor (spoke clearance with caliper) is fine on all the 17" Steel that I know. I've got a set of 4 barely used silver rims downstairs now.

Cheers,
Ryano

If you were sticking them on a 40, not quite enough unless it was running Patrol diffs in which case they would be good. :D
On the Lux they will sit out a touch further than standard.
