Outer Limits 4x4 Board

IM concerned that my CT20 turbo on my LN106 HIlux 2.8L 3l Diesel is not working i.e no boost.

I fitted a boost guage this afternoon and its not registering any movement under revs - if anything it is creating a tiny vacume.

The picture below indicates where i fitted the boost guage.

I removed this bung and the boost gauge and gave it a rev, at idle you can feel a pulsing air flowing out (like a mini exhaust would feel) When reved the amount of air comming out reduced but didnt stop completely.

PLEASE TELL ME IM WRONG.

If you cant tell me im wrong advice would be great...

It may not be producing any boost when free-revving. Did you try driving it? (i.e. applying load to the motor)

x2. my surf only just boosts free reving. you want to rev under load, so take a drive and put the boot in a few times

Give it a couple of quick stabs at the throttle, long enough to let the engine rev right up.........if nothing.....sorry :(
