Can it be engineered

Hi guys, can a spring over, buggy leaf and v8 conversion still be engineered in NSW.

maybe you should talk to an engineer? most won't charge for the initial chat.

Iv'e used TIC b4 but cant find his number and was told the laws have changed. Thought i would try and find out a bit of info b4 i start building.

77 FJ40, 429 big block and want to spring it over or buggy leaf etc etc.

From what I know you can't rego a 429 V8 as this is classed as a big block, this coming from Hot rods, you can use small block V8s though which are less than 400cc in size.
Maybe a car that had one from the start and still had said engine.

mate im havin dramas tryin to find someone to even look at engineering a big block in a hq sedan with all the right mods!
good luck with it though, you might be able to find someone.
actually check the street machine mag website, they have a list and contact numbers of all (or at least alot) of the engineers in oz

Seen many 400cc V8's lately,

would be alot of work for a very slow truck. cubic inches perhaps
Go and have a chat with an engineer, as said above, most chats are free. might even be worth spending an hour with them for a few 00's and finding out what they want in order to pass it. a few hundred bucks would seem very sheap if you got to the end and they said it could be passed but not like that, you will have to change ....

Call your local registration office and get a list of Engineers WHO ARE STILL APPROVED to sign off registered vehicles.

Found a engineer that will engineer a FJ40 with a big block, spring over and 35 x12.5 tyres. Now i can start building one.
