I am going out into some rocky country hunting in 2 weeks time. As I destroyed a BFG All Terrain last year, I have decided to return to split rims for this trip. What is a robust tyre with decent sidewalls that will fit on the split rims?? Previously I had no problem with the road grippers for puncture resistance but they are lacking in grip when it gets muddy. Any comments greatly appreciated.

Bridgestone desert duellers??? They run them until they are bald in the rocks at Arkaroola.

Do they still make those grabbers or grippers that i always used to see on split rims. They looked like a pretty agressive tyre for a "skinny".
