Bumpstop trimming for increased flex

got a 93 disel with 2inch spring and 3inch shackle lift with 2 inch body lift and still got room to jam my 35's into the guard. anyone got any thoughts on trimming the bumpstops in the arse end a bit to get the wheels up in there more ( good idea or not??). problems with other componentry if i do it????
