Following on from my thread

http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/ftopic142448.php

I would like to get any general advice regarding what size tubes should be fitted in tyres and how it might effect things wiht undersize tubes.

Also any thoughts on why my tyres are rotating on the rim at 25psi and what action can be taken (besides beadlocks) to remedy this.

My tyres are 285 85 16 with 7.0/7.5 x 16 tubes.

A standard 16" tube should be fine but why not run them tubeless?

If the tyres are slipping on the rims it is most likely because the wrong compound(slippery stuff) was used to fit them.
If you use detergent they will slip at reduced pressures.

They are a tube type tyre.

It has been suggested a few times they may have been fitted using the wrong compound like you say.

Will investigate further and attempt to clean the bead too.
