Stopping Petrol Fumes

Post by DIDZ »

I have to carry a 4 stroke Petrol Compressor for work & Carry it in the rear of the 100 Series Landcruiser. Problem is the Fuel smell is quite bad & need a solution (Not a Masking Solution)
The fuel cap is new & seals tight but still emitts fumes. I was told of a foam that motorcylcles use in there fule tanks?? Has anyone any info on this solution or any other fix?? Not the end of the world, but must be a way to seal properly :?

Buy a trailer and a tarp to keep the rain off, problem solved.

Because the fuel tank needs to be vented this will most likely be where the fumes come from.

Maybe adapt the fuel tank so you ditch the old on and run a outboard type tank, the ones where you have to release the vent before you use it.
Would also help in that you dont have to fuel it in the car.

Other than that all I can think of is a trailer.

It runs on recycled Dinosaurs.
