quick rear diff question GQ

Hey just curious. i have a LWB GQ wagon with the factory locked rear diff.. the housing on this is different to the LSD rear diff which is understandable.. my question is.. as a "get me home" fix.. could i fit a standard rear centre (LSD) and axles to suit.. into my rear housing?
basically i wanna know if i bust a centre can i put the guts out of a stock rear diff into my housing to get home as i have a spare diff centre and 2 axles here to suit.
i know a factory locker wont run in a stock housing as a temp fix cause the axles are different length due to the locker.. but im hoping that i could fit an open/LSD rear centre and axles to match inside the factory locker diff housing..
i think that made enough sence
