Outer Limits 4x4 Board

im looking at getting one of these im just not sure which to go with. if you own a sierra or a feroza i would like to know the Pros and Cons of each. Thanks

Two completely different vehicles. The Vitara and the Feroza are more comparable but without knowing what you want to do with it, well...........?

Feroza - Strong, cheap, roomier and more comfortable than a sierra, drives more like a car, EFI.

Sierra - more cramped, rougher ride, more agricultural, but better off road. In fact, if you're looking at a feroza, you'd be better to compare it to a vitara.

The big clincher is parts availability. There's effectively no support for a feroza in the aftermarket. Yes, you can get some bolt on parts, but that's about it.

There's a massive aftermarket parts industry for the sierra (and vitara, to a lesser extent) which makes building one into an offroad car much easier.

If you want something to stay close to standard and do easy/medium trips, look at a feroza or vitara. If you want a 4WD as a build project or to get into hard terrain look at a sierra.

i had a feroza a few years back, it didn't like getting dunked in mud at all.
in one year it went through:
3 alternators,
2 starters,
headgasket,
then crank pulley ate its keyway and bent 6-7 valves on new head,
rear drums
and probably more i cant remember

then sold it to a mate and the bottom end gave way.

Steve and cj have pretty much summarized the pro's and cons.

A long hard think about what your plans are is required - if stockish then Vit or Feroza, if for serious mods then Sierra.

P.S. Feroza's tend to be more expensive on the market, you pay for electric windows, aircon, trim and widetrack so this might be a factor as well.
